Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Kumiki Labs collects through kumikilabs.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Each of our apps will have its own privacy section describing what that app collects.

Who we are

Kumiki Labs is the trading name of Joaquim Freitas, an independent app developer based in the United Kingdom. Joaquim Freitas, trading as Kumiki Labs, is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@kumikilabs.com.

What we collect and why

When you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who get in touch.

When you join early access

If you join early access, we store your email address so we can tell you when an app is ready to try. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.

When you visit the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or similar storage on your device and does not build a profile of you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a secure, working website and understanding which pages are useful.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Cloudflare, for hosting, security and visit counts.
• Our email provider, to receive and reply to messages.
• A mailing service, if we use one to send early access emails.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

• Messages: up to 12 months after our last reply, unless an ongoing conversation needs them for longer.
• Early access emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@kumikilabs.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
